There is...well, there was... a Pit Bull in our neighborhood that kept getting loose. He always went to this guys house and would eat the chickens :-/ Finally the guy called the cops because he was tired of the dog eating his chickens. That day I was going to take Shianne out and the cop told me to go back inside because there was a Pit Bull loose. I put Shianne inside and came back out anyway, it didn't bother me that the dog was in my yard... he had been here before and we had to bring him home. I knew he wasnt mean but the cop was afraid to get out of the car! lol!!!! Anyway, the cop told me he called the pound to come pick the dog up bc the people that own the dog were not home. I felt so bad! I just wanted to keep the dog for myself but I can't have any more dogs right now. I would rather have the pound pick the dog up and hope that someone would go and get him out or adopt him or whatever ...rather then him running around the neighborhood and possibly be shot by some idiot! I tried to feed him but he didn't like the ProPac I guess...and didn't want water either...or treats :-/ What would any of you have done? The pound picked him up. IP: Logged |

I would just like to say thank you for trying! It is hard to say what to do. I have a pit myself and I don't think intorducing another pit would be such a good idea for my dog. My dog seems to get picked on by other dogs. He is a big Baby. But that is a good thing i think. I think the what you did was good! Now maybe just check up on the dog and see if he found a home. If not try and get the word out that a good dog nees a good home. Help him get adopted. Again, Thanks For being a caring person. IP: Logged |

i'm glad you tried to help even though you couldn't take another pit in your house and i agree wit littleone tell people that a good dog needs a home and check on him at the pound and see if he gets adopted or not. IP: Logged |

I hope so too benny but to me it seems as if they dont care... i mean, i THINK they kept him outside on a chain in the backyard but im not sure and they could have done something better for him to be able to run around the yard more and not get out. I really dont think they care IP: Logged |
