How do I break my pit from chewing and eating up everything including things that aren't edible like tissue and trash and different items?

I have found that if you get your dog enought chew tos that it will help the problem. I got mine some raw hide bones from my vet, and a few dent-a-bones, it helps with the tarter build up. you can also get some stuff, from somewhere like wal-mart, I cant remember what its called, but you spray it on stuff and it leaves a bad taste that the dogs dont like. Hope I helped.

Yes, Good point Tex, it is called "Bitter Apple" and Yes, it does work.
I also buy bone marrow bones at the local supermarket. They are cheap and It keeps my dogs occupied for hours

Tissue and Trash? It's pretty obvious you would want to put them out of reach. Keep doors to the bathroom closed.. Keep garbage where the dog can't get to it. Treat your house and everything in it as if you had it kid-proofed.

lmao,,,is your dog a puppy? if it is you will have that. if it isnt buy a kong from petsmart or petco and fill it with peanut, because i dont recomend rawhide, because it doesnt digest in there belly it just stays there and sometimes it passes but its hard and causes constipation, get real bones and a denta bone is a good idea

I also had this problem when my pitbulls were puppies, they were very naughty, they would eat anything they could get there paws on.It took awhile for my female to break this bad habit.Jada is 5 yrs old now and brewsky is 4,thank goodness they do not do that anymore. My recomendation would be to make sure you put them in a safe place like a crate when you are away or sleeping, till they get old enough to know better.Putting them in a crate just may save their life, you don't want your dog getting ahold of something that could get caught in it's intestine,it is very sad,and some do not make it to the vet in time to be saved. They may start getting diarreah and not wanting to eat and get very skinny, that can be a sign.An obedience trainer may also be a good idea.Rawhide is not very good for them, however nylabone products seem to hold up pretty well for pitbulls,a good strong toy or bone, sold at petco amongst other places.Make sure to put a toy in the crate with them.Hopefully this info will be of some help, and someday they will stop eating everything!
