My baby cheeko has been crying at all times of the night i don't know what to do. I don't even know why he's crying. He started crying after i came back from vacation i left him with a friend of mine that has owned many pitbulls before. I left him at my friends house for a week and the day i brought him back he was acting a little strange around my friend so that night when i was sleeping he woke me up crying and whining and ever since then he cries at night this has been going on for 2 weeks so far if anyone has any advice to help me make him stop please tell me i'm going nuts.

i have a few questions to ask, where does he sleep?does he sleep with you?does he seem head shy? meaning when you go to pet his head does he bow down? is he using the bathroom often? if his or her urine is dark or light, or if he is having trouble going poo, and one more thing you should check, under his or her lip the very top of there gum line the is a little indentation shaped like a v, take your finger and push, not very hard and see how fast the color comes back. if the color returns fast thats good, or if he is just crying at night and no other time you can go to your vet and get a pill called ACEPROMAZINE 25mg will help him sleep its not a narcodic so its safe and it my help

Thx. but i found out why he has been crying at night it appears that my friend has been torturing him in the middle of the night. when is ay torturing i mean waking and playing rough with him in the middle of the night and making him cry so ever since then he cries at night in his sleep thinking of what my friend did to him.

Hello- I just read about your pitbull and your {friend} that took care of him, that was my first thought that something bad happened to your dog while you were away.My advice to you,i would definately not be friends with that person anymore!!!There might be more to the story than you know.Just comfort your dog and let him know it is ok.And next time you go on vacation find a good reputable doggy daycare!

Acepromazine is not something I would recommend just to help the pup and her sleep. Acepromazine is a drug and it can have side effects. And it does drug dogs up. Its a drug that makes dogs really really out of it and it also can have an adverse effect and make the dog wild instead. A whiney dog is not a dog that should be put on acepromazine. As a so called vet which I cant imagine you are do to the advise you are giving I would think you would know the possible side effects of acepromazine as well as the possibility of it just making a dog more fired up. Secondly I dont know any vet that would suggest medication as the first possibility. Medicating a dog is usually the last option not the first. Just wanted to fill you guys in.

I'm glad to say that i'm no longer friends with James. And i'm not going to that drug on cheeko. And now he only does it when we watch scary movies or he has a bad dream so he only cries about 4 times a week

oh wow, I thought I was the only one having thoughts on this 'vet'... but my thoughts started more than a few posts ago.

Can I see credentials please? lol.

My Thoughts Exactly for someone who is supposedly educated they should know how to spell. I have read many of his/her post and his spelling is Terrible not to mention his advice. He is supposed to be a veterinarian but can not even spell the word...LOL
