I picked up my local paper (Pensacola,Fla.) the other day.On the second page I find a very sad story for more than one reason.The headline reads 3-yearold. killed by neighbor's PITTBULL.The first officer at the scene had to shoot the dog in order to get to the child's body.Officals determinded the child's death was due to the bites it received from the MIXED-BREED dog.Can anyone explain to me how a MIXED-BREED dog magically became a PITT BULL???Was this story not bad enough without the help of some ignorant reporter who had to beef his story up?I guess it can just be added to the reasons people look at a pitt owner like they have a third eyeball in the middle of their forehead!!!I'll also be sending a letter in to the editor of this paper.Also thanks for the advice on our boys.

Yeah, there was another one I heard the other day. There was an anonymous(sp?) call placed to animal control a little south of dallas, they arrived to find 30 pit bulls, living in and chained to barrels. THey were not fed, so as to be kept aggressive, and they were kept just close enough to fight. Many had scars, broken bones, open wounds, and they found 2 dead in a ravine. They had apparently been pitted against each other, and had both ended up dying.

Those media people what pieces of work they are.
Has anyone on this board ever seen the game "Find the pitbull"??? I use it all the time to prove points just like this one!!! For those of you who have not seen it here it is
It is a great teaching tool.
Everyone please write to your local editors about "The TRUE PITBULLS" It is one of the ways we can change the media's negative thoughts. Also, get your dogs involved in "PetTHerapy", agility, etc... POSITIVE PRESS IS WHAT THEY NEED!!!!! http://members.aol.com/radogz/find.html
