My 4yr old female is always itching and scratching...I have tried an antihistamine and yeast tablets and even Aveeno baths followed up with lotion...but she is diligent and scratches away. Can anyone help me with a home remedy...trying to aviod the exspensive vet bill right now...I know it's comming. Thanks.

Unfortunately there isn't always a way around those vet bills! You need to take your dog to a vet first to rule out possible causes. Really only a qualified vet or homeopath can accurately diagnose a problem. Save the expense of buying miracle products or "recommended" products which may render useless. The vet should look to such things as diet, contact environment etc. Has this happened suddenly or over a period of time? Any dietary changes or new household products?

i have to agree with jas, but it may not even be skin problyms or anything like that, i have two pits and there my life. and i have my share of vet bills. when my dogs had a cough or anything i took them to the vet, so what im going to tell you is just wait to so if it get worse or if it gets really bad then take it to the vet. one of my dogs (the male) chews his nails and the pads of his feet) and the female chews her tail its not that they have any thing wrong with them it might be a nervous habit
