This may be more of a rant than anything, buts its about the neighbors dogs. Anyone else have problems with others pets?
Well I have had some problems with them because people just don't care and let their dogs run loose or just don't try to hard from keeping the dogs in their own yards.
Yesterday I walked a few of the dogs. I have had run-ins and conflicts with one neighbor mostly. They have an aggressive(people&animal) lab/dal cross. They also have a little pug mix and HAD another blk GSD mix. So now I walked down the opposite direction. They live down the right path so I don't go that way. I walked down the left side of the road and was coming back from the walk. Well their dog got out from their old fence (as usually)and was running like a bullet. Two of their boys, young boys, noticed her and went to calling her which she ignored as usual. My dog caught site of her for a second and went into her mode. The dog disappeared behind an empty building where they continued the chase. I was getting back to my prop. and was going to put my dog up when their dog comes circling around. I hurried and put her up and locked the fenced area (which surrounds the dog kennels/chain areas). This just makes me upset because the dog gets out of their yard all the time. Its a crappy old fence made out of that cow wire stuff or whatever. And the dog house is right there and she used it to jump out several times. She bites and growls at people but they don't see it as a problem. They finally moved the house after a couple years. The main reason I don't walk by is because I know they get out. They HAD the black mix, that was before it jumped the fence and my 6month brindle female disbatched it and almost shook its head off. I removed her almost immediatly so the dog wouldn't be severly injured, but I couldn't until the daughter came because it was trying to bite me and there would be nothing for me to do with the other dog. She only had a hold for a bit. After that I walked the other way. This dog was still a young dog, just really big and it cleared the fence and one jump and came right at us. Then it did it a few more times but not when I walked by. Guess sense they couldn't properly secure it they just got rid of it less than a week later. But the other one is still there and it seems even though I try to avoid it, the dog can easily jump the fence and come to where ever I am or meet me on the way back. Arrgg, its so fustrating.

I have five flat coat retrievers(Males on one side) They attack the fence everyday if soemone is out. Naturally my males want to go play war games. I have a rottie accross the street who has biten several times and they still let the dog run loose. Also have a rescued Golden retriever across the street. The dog is kinda nuts. It breaks out and will run to you barking and growling, then runs back home. Of course the later two people are worried because I have Amstaffs that never get out, but feel they are too dangerous for the community. Funny both of them are friends and they only have each other on this block. Many nieghbors have called on them and nothing is ever done.
