(Please excuse me for posting about this conversation after the thread was closed.) Hi, I stumbled in here and I just wanted to post a message. I'm very experienced with this breed and the genetics of this breed and its colors. Not to be rude but Gypsy was right when correcting Goob when Goob said that a "silver" pit is created by breeding light pigmented blues to other light pigmented blues. And I thought Gypsy was very polite about it. I won't go into specifics on how it is created. I would also like to say it is great when people have adopted dogs but I also agree with Gypsy that you shouldn't give uneducated advice on the breed that you have no deep prior experience with. I do agree with Goob that you should have your dogs health tested but Gypsy said, right after your assumption that their dogs were unhealth tested and untitled, that their dogs ARE health tested. (Not every dog thats health tested will pop up on the internet.) And if you would have done a little more research you would have known they do have titled dogs. And to Neek, I also did a little more research and come to find out Band Of Gypsys Kennels IS vigorously involved in pit bull activities and UKC/ADBA events. Everybody knows what ASSumption does. The moral of the story is, lets be a little more mature! It's our jobs as pit bull owners to preserve this breed and represent the breed to our finest ability! Thank you for your time.

I agree, there are alot of people on here speaking about the breed as if they have anything more than book knowledge.. and trying to outdo others that have real experience. This sort of 'I'm right and all else are wrong' attitude is the basis for ant-breed and anti-combat legislation that are determined to be the death of the breed.

What is your point in bringing this up? Who are you to point fingers and declare someone an expert just because they are a breeder and someone else UNEDUCATED? Anyone can breed a litter, yet not all breeders care to educate themselves nor choose to be reputable or responsible. IMO your opinion couldn't be further from the truth. Yet does that make your opinion less valid and mine more worthy??? This is completely argumentative and pointless. If you'd have taken the time to search the mentioned peoples posts you might not be so quick to come to your conclusions. Correcting someone on a minor detail (whether its true or not) does NOT make them uneducated or inexperienced.

Topic was closed for a reason so DROP IT. We don't need you coming on here telling people how to behave. That is not the "Mature" approach. If your point is to come here and slander or put our members down then you have no business posting here. Those members are valued, helpful, educated and do more for the breed (like cleaning up the mess breeders leave) than you realize.
