Ther eis a guy that got a hold of me through my website- he for one has no clue of dogs in general never mind Pit Bull's. He had a female without papers and was breeding her and selling pups for $250. then he brought it to $75. and gave two away, becaus ethey were homeless at six weeks old. The guy needs to be beat til he's unidentifyable with a two-by-four but since that is not an option, how do I tell him that gettign another dog is the wrong idea. His female just had another litter (back to back breedings and only 14 months old- she had eleven puppies, died during birth and when I asked what happened to the puppies, he said they died because how were they suppose to eat with the mother being dead. He just let those puppies die. I need a good approach, I may not be able to change this but I want to know I at least tried. He is going to pay $600. for an inbred puppy that the breeder just sucks. At all times, you can guarantee he has six bitches pregnant and it is just like a puppy mill. Anyhow, somehow he is convinced that if you pay more for a dog it is a guarantee that they won't die giving birth- why are people so ignorant on educating themselves instead of doing this and it is all for money. Help.. I need ideas..

hey maine, i agree with the two by four approach. can the animal rights folks do anything?? if not, then a friendly approach would probably be best.. as messed up as it is, you can't stop folks from ownin dogs.. i really think people should be screened before ownin a pet.. you are dealing with another life here.. anywayz, if you can some how convice him/her of the right way, introduce them to forums or somethin like that.. try to give this person good information, and conivnc them too llok at these dogs with their heart.. if you can do that, then you can help this person

Did anyone see him starve these puppies to death after the momma died? That is animal cruelty. He should be reported. Dieing of starvation and malnutrition is one of the most painful ways to die. I would call the authorities and report him. That is just sick and disgusting. Obviously these dogs are not getting medical care. Makes me wonder what he did with the bodies of the puppies and the mom. Any vet would have questioned. I am disgusted that he allowed a litter of 11 to starve to death.
Have you seen his premisses? What conditions are the dogs kept in? I wouldnt hesitate to call on this man. It sounds like he needs a rude awakening, then education after he has a wake up call that it is illegal and wrong what he is doing.
