Hello everyone-- just wondering if anyone has any good dog books to read. I am getting lazy for winter and setting myself on a book fix.. lol. I read two books that were great.
Pit's Letter by Sue Coe, a very short book, but one I will never in my lifetime forget. It is a book that is written in the point of view of an abandoned Pit Bull. Something everyone who has no idea of what a Bully breed dogs through should read. Then I read, Diane Jessup's "The Dog Who Spoke With Gods" Loved every single bit of it-- great book, leaves you hanging on the edge of your seat wanting to know more and more yet tears you into pieces to know what this dog went through. Now I am a few pages into Patricia McConnell's "The Other End Of The Leash" If anyone has any other books that they have read, please let me know because I am getting ready to order again. Thanks and sorry for the length of this.

Angie

hey Angie,
Geeezz, sorry to hear your Saige got hit by a car. Good to now she's alright.

Hmmmmm Books......

Well, i bought this book on American Bulldogs around this same time a year ago. It's called "The Working American Bulldog" by Dave Putnam.
I actually met Putnam at a local Bulldog show. Had him sign it, on video too !!
The books cool, covers alotta things. But, as far as "all the hype" that surrounds the book in the AB world, i'd have to say it ain't all that. BUT, YOU DID'NT HEAR IT FROM ME.
Overall, i guess the tittle of the book says it all. Personally, i wanted m o r e on everything he covered. But hey, don't we always when it's something good..?

As far as "story" type doggie books....
I don't think i have any, otherwise i'd let you know.
I actually just went to my downtown public library and picked up like 15 books on health care & training. These are the type of doggie books that interest me really. I'm sure/know there's lots of good stories to read, but i find myself just passing them up. I'll check one out sometime.
Ohh! I got this famous classic i'm sure you've checked out already called "THE WORLD OF FIGHTING DOGS" by Dr. Carl Semencic.
Lotta Pits in this baby (the book ), i bet! You know it's lookin funny, i've been opening it up & randomly flipping through the pages, & all these 100-130lbs dogs looking like AB's are labled Pitbulls... Interesting. This will be one of my "help give me some shut-eye" books in bed.
Alright later.
