Call the ADBA phone number, (801-936-7513) give them your dog's registration number located on the right-hand side of the certificate, and tell them you want a seven generation pedigree. If they don't have the number of your dog, or the info is different or anything weird, it is fake. It costs $45 for the 7-generation ped., $25 for the 6-gen ped., and $12 for the 4-gen.ped. Anything more, you will have to do your own research, which there are pedigree sites out there. The most popular is not free either. It's $30/yearly. Well worth it if you are concerned or interested in tracking your dog's line.

PS. Did you buy this dog? If so, why would you wonder about the certificate being fake? Does the info on the certificate go with the info that you know? Does it say the color and parents? Hopefully, if you have to wonder about the authenticity, it is because you acquired the dog for free somehow. I'd hate to think you bought a dog from someone you didn't trust.
