I have a 8 week old pit puppy, she is biting everything she can get a hold of, including my kids. I know this normal but does anyone have any suggestions for keeping her from bitting?

Also, when we first got her a week ago, she was eating quite a bit, now she doesn't seem to eat very much. I have been feeding her puppy chow. I also let her se;f feed. should I be resulating the amount fo food she has?

One reason to regulate their food intake at this stage of their life is to help you housetrain your puppy. You also don't want to feed after a certain time. I'd say like 6 or 7pm (just a suggestion).. And even limit the water. Feed her what the bag suggests for her weight or age. Once she is totally housebroken if she isn't eatting as much as she "SHOULD", then keep the food out full time. Ain't gonna hurt.

As for the biting, I don't know any clear-cut ways to stop an 8wk old to quit biting. I just yell "NO BITE" and push them away from me. If they come back for more, I yell "NO BITE" again while I flip them onto their back and keep them there for a few seconds. (You should see an entire litter of 6 week olds, OMG)
