There is a Pit/Amstaff in a shelter in Delaware...she has been there for about a year now. I visited her this past summer and started the adoption process, but we had a change of circumstances and could not take on a 2nd dog at that point. She is listed by the shelter she is with as not being good with other dogs or cats, or kids, and she is sometimes aggressive. I'm not sure where they got that? Perhaps just cause she is a Pit? I spent some time with her, and yes- she is a terrier, and thus- cats aren't her favorite buddies. She was fine with other dogs, and as for kids- I am not sure. If anyone out there is looking for a dog that is really in need of a forever home, you can find her on Petfinder. She is a sweet dog, I don't think she trusts anyone, but can you blame her? I don't think the shelter she is in works on finding her a home...so I am trying to help her out. Sorry to the moderators if this is out of line. Remove at your discretion.

i'm sorry, but i live in texas and if i could take a second dog i would gladly make the drive, she is a really great looking dog!! i honestly cann't believe she's been there that long. i also just wanted to thank you for what you're trying to do for this unfortunate soul. i got all choked up when i was reading through what you wrote then i got to the picture she just looks so sad to me. it broke my heart but what you're doing is wonderful, and i just wanted you to know that the world needs more people like you in it.
