Hi,

Along time ago when i was in a dog park this guy came in w/ a B E A U T I F U L colored Pit. It was definatly a brindle, but the way it looked was outstanding! It had two colors, red & white. But this red actually looked kinda pinkish, seriously, i'm guessing it was from it's other color of of white that mad the red look that way. The pigment of the white was strong. Basically it was like a Pink (w/ a pink nose, instead of red) & White Brindle Pit! Has anyone seen this color before?? I'm sure some of you have, but i've never seen that color ever since then. I possibly wrong on how this color could have come about. So, what mixes makes this unique color?!? I mean as soon as he came in w/ this dog, i was like W H O A, nice!! Does anybody know of possibly a website or something that breeds this color? I've been wanting to see it again. Everytime i think of it, it still blows my mind! Pits have awesome colors. And the muscle tone makes the color stand out even more.

I saw one like that years ago,but I dont remember hearing a name for it.I also once got a pair of pups out of a dam that was clear white w/ black stripes like a zebra,she was really gorgous!

Just taking a stab in the dark, but from what you said, I'm thinking it was a red brindle, and because of the pink nose, probably a dilute as well, making everything lighter. The red would be lighter, the fawn would be very pale, almost white. Again, I'm probably not right, just couldn't help but guess Did it have any white markings on its face (a blaze, spot, anything)?

I'm also thinking it's a dilute of some sort, definatly 'dilute' red-brindle. If it's not a specific color (having a color-name already). This pup (at the time) was the type of brindle that covered it's whole body, from the face to the tail, down to it's feet. I mean this color looked rare/exotic. I've never seen this color since. I just hope i have a camera on me if i ever come across that dog or color again.

Yeh, I wonder if the owner of the dog you saw will breed it. I'm against backyard breeders but if there is a rare colour it might be better to try and preserve it rather than just have one in a million dogs with this colour. Then again the resulting pups may not have that colour in them at all, unless the dog is bred with a pure white pitbull. Interesting thought???

Yeah, i'd like to think that he's going to breed it, PROPERLY, registered and all free of genetic health issues & stuff. But, sadly i remember trying to get in a conversation w/ this guy, specifically commenting on his Pits beautiful color (and yes it was a female), but this guy seemed like the strictly "image" type, that really does'nt know much about dogs in general, and was'nt really interested in talking about Pits & dogs in general. We were in a freakin dog-park too! Just another LAMO w/ a beautiful Pit, not even knowing... Mannn!!! But, i'm sure over time he constantly got good comments about his "rare-colored" Pit, and i would'nt be surprised if he's now what is known as a "BYB"!! Adding more shame to it's game... But, then again he could have had a bad day or something and did'nt want to talk much. BUT, i doubt it!!
