Most videos that you see of dogs attacking people are reinactments. I know that the one of the woman setting her dog loose on the ACO (if it's the one I'm thinking) was, both the dog and "ACO" were actors, trained for that type of stunt. If you think about it, it would be unlikely that there would be a person nearby with a camera during a dog attack, even more unlikely that they'd just stand there and film away as a person was being attacked, so that alone makes it unlikely that these types of things are of ACTUAL attacks. Then in some cases, the people who own the trained dogs used for the reinactments can verify whether or not the film was real (as in the case of the ACO attack). I'm not saying that it's impossible for someone to get live footage of a dog attack, just that MOST of these things are not.

Wow, oh yeah, very possible. A good thing to bring up. I can totally see that being set up. It's funny how some would'nt think of that because of false media hype of pitbulls, and it being the main subject in the footage. Crazy....

Yeh it was the one with the fat lady. She was actually the neighbour though. To me it didn't look fake as the lady was trying to get between the dog and the black lady (animal control) and she was screaming "I told you to stay away from him!" In between saying that she was also screaming at the dog to get away. I don't think the owners were home because at the end it said "Imagine what would have happened if the neighbour didn't come to her rescue!!"
They might have had the camera if they knew they were going to collect a vicious dog so they might have wanted footage.
Then again, I could be wrong. I didn't realise that was about 15 years old. I didn't look that old.

The one I'm talking about, the ACO was at the house and the woman at the house opened the door, yelled at the ACO, then set the dog on her. The dog (if I remember right) bit the ACO on the bottom on the arm, near their hand. If it's that one, then it WAS fake, but we may not be talking about the same one.

It was a fat white lady and the ACO was a black lady. Sorry if that offends anyone.

Wow,it was fake?I noticed even back then that the dog didnt seem real serious,a mad pit would have severly injured that little woman. That video was portrayed as real to the public, which doesnt surprise me...where did you find out it was phony?

It's entirely possible. The clip I'm talking about must be getting close to 10 yrs old or so, but is still aired frequently on those "when animals attack" shows, and occasionally on the news when there's an attack (haven't seen it used on the latter recently).

On an email list I was on a few years ago, the topic came up, and some people were discussing whether or not it was real, when a few members chimed in that the dogs were actors, and the owner was also a fairly well known pit bull person (not mentioning names), who happened to be a member of the list as well. This was a few years ago, so I don't recall much from the actual discussion, but that's the gist of it

Anyway it makes you wonder how many other brainwashed pitbulls are running around being a danger to people. Can u imagine if that had been a child!! That would be totally horrific!!!! I couldn't even imagine.

Here is what I don't understand about that video. Yes it is very possible that it is a reinactment but if you look and listen closely enough you can actually see a man, which I believe to be the neighbor, come into the picture and hit the dog over the head with a pretty decent size stick. This may very well be fake but if the man was hitting the dog and you can hear it then the dog must have beeen an amazing actor.

Most dogs trained for bitework have also been tested by handlers using a leather padded stick (depending on the work, age of the dog, and how far along in training it is, they may hit the dog, or they may only try to intimidate with it) to make sure they are commited to the work and won't back down when threatened back. So it would go to show that a dog trained for that type of work wouldn't necessarily be freaked out by someone "hitting" them. It's also likely that what you could "hear" was really a "voice over", which is common in those type of things. The law and order dog attack show a couple years ago used a crappy voice over to make the APBT on there "sound" vicious.

I don't think you's are talking about the same one. There was a second ACO but he didn't do anything, when the neighbour chased the dog away he then went to see if her arm was alright. there wasn't anyone else there but the neighbour, two ACOs and obviously the cameraman.

We have two parts of similarity, the first being the fat cracker, then we have the black ACO officer, and I also remember her trying to get the dog to stop immediately after siccing it on the ACO woman,oh and now that Bennyboy mentioned it,I do remember the neigbor hitting the dog. Then it showed fatty crying and saying goodbye to her dog as it was in the dogcatchers truck.
I think its the same one,we just have selective memories, perhaps.Anyway, but why were the cameras there in the first place?I have animal control come out to pick up feral cats all the time and they NEVER have a cameracrew w/ them!o.k. so maybe its not the same thing,whatever......

It probably is the same one. It might have went longer as the one I seen stopped when the neighbour chased the dog towards the house and the black ACO was holding her injured arm as the other ACO went over to help her and then it stopped. It may have gone longer????

That pit was only playing a 'game'his owner had taught him,if he had been really mad, like when they are fighting, they would have never got him to let go.
Either that or he was a fighting dog and she used the, sicc'm or git,m command alot of dogfighters use and so he attacked but went ahead and let go because she didnt fight back and people where screaming at him,I dont know.
It could have gone on longer 'cause at he end it went straight from them trying to get the dog off,to it being in the truck w/ her crying. We probably all saw differently edited clips of the same thing.
