As for springpoles, frisbees, weight pulling, etc, requirements vary depending on which club/registry the trials are held through. The ADBA, for example, only allows intact, ADBA registered APBTs to compete in their weight pulls, except for "fun pulls". The UKC will require that you get an ILP on your dog (an ILP is a "limited privelege" registration, which allows your dog to compete in just about every UKC activity except conformation. Dogs must be fixed to get an ILP, and will be "registered" as the breed they most closely resemble), if they're not already registered. The IWPA (International Weight Pull Association) will allow dogs of any breed or mix to compete.

I don't know anything about frisbee dog trials, but would guess that in most, any breed or mix can compete, as there are a lot of mixed breeds doing so. One bad thing about frisbee is that the dogs can put a lot of wear and tear on their knees, and with APBTs already being prone to cruciate tears, you have to be extra careful.
