Hello Everybody...

I've been looking for a good place to buy a 2" collar for my American Bulldog. So far i've came across 3 awesome designers, well, let me safely say 2.

Does anyone have "any" suggestions..??

Thanks for Your Help & Consideration !!!

HEY THANKS "GOOB"!!

They are all good sites, but i'm still being picky... I'm trying to find a "leather" designer that makes/burns/imprints/indents (or whatever thats called when an image is made on a leather surface/collar).

Does anyone know where i can find designer collars like these, or knows of someone that can do it??

Thanks in advance .

Do you use the same thing to burn a design in wood as in leather? What kind of design do you want on it? Do you have the design drawn out?

hi Angie!

I really don't know the process of how images get put on a leather belt/dog-collar. I have a couple ideas of what i'd like to put on, & i think they can be fairly easy to make. I was also wondering if it was possible to have this done on a "blue" leather belt. If not, most likely brown or burgandy, so it can be easily seen. Of coarse black would'nt work too well, or would it??
What i'd like to know is if theres anybody that can do this type of work... Can anyone help me out?!?
THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH in advance....

See if you can find someone who makes saddles, bridles, etc for horses (I think they're called leathersmiths?). They should be able to do what you want, as people often get their horses' tack personalized. Someone I know had a harness made for their dog by one, and it had the engraving on it, etc. It was about $100, counting a break in price the guy gave them because he knew them, but a collar would probably be cheaper to do.

Goob is right.. those guys are great with leather! My dad got them to make a belt for my brother before and a collar or something for my brother's dog. (dont remember what it was) but i am sure that would be your best bet! Goodluck!

hey THANKS!

You know, i've tried asking one place already a while back & they said no they don't do it there. But the person i asked was not the "leathersmith", & she did tell me to call or come back when he was in (he was'nt there). This was one of those places that does the whole imaging on leather straps/belts for horses & stuff...

Anyhow your right, & that should be my best bet in finding someone that can do this kinda work. This was my 2nd option. I was just hoping to cut to the chase and hopfully find someone in the Am.Bull community, or the APBT community that already makes them (& hoping to find a design i like).

I'mma keep calling around in my local area, well, at least as nearest as possible. I really want this for my AB, & possibly 1 for my Pei (but a 1"er). It's my gift to them for being "all grown up"...
I'm hoping to have them ahead of time though.

i'll keep everyone posted, whenever i "finally" get them....

I asked my dad and he said that the people that make horse saddles should be able to do it. lol When i was asking him, he was like "It depends on how you want it done, i can do it"
anyway, they should be able to burn (imprint) the leather for you (just like you burn wood)
