Please help make a change!! These people lost there family pet for nothing other than it's breed....it was in it's own yard. Please, if you are good a letter writing and can make up a generic letter that others who are not good at writing such a letter may make "their own" please consider doing so...make phone calls, anything you can do to help promote a change and a better understanding of these maligned animals would be appreciated!!
Thank you!

hi ladyv, i read the article and was horrified that a police officer would do that. my heart goes out to that poor man and his family. something just doesn't sit right with me though. he ought to be able to take the cop to court or something, get some sort of compensation. although i understand that nothing will compensate for the loss of a member of the family. it just seems like they (the police force)should have to pay some how, not necesarilly with money, but they should do somthing about the trigger happy little s.o.b that did this. i mean are they saying it's okay for a cop to shoot a dog in his yard for barking at his k-9 partner, that's just what dogs do. if i lived in that mans town i would not let my dog out in the yard unsupervised ever. thats scarey!! i can't believe that cop would do that.

That's Disgusting! The Police should not have the right to shoot a dog when it wasn't doing anything! That is just wrong... What would he feel if someone just shot his child in the backyard, assuming that he has one.Our pits our dear to us, they are just like sisters, brothers, daughters,or sons.
