would like a list of any sites helpful in fighting euthanasia, first time minor offense against a colt. live in the country and my pitt was taken and is being threatened with euthanasia.

Unfortunately, there aren't many resources out there that can help with this type of thing. From your post, I'm guessing that your dog was loose (why/how was he loose? did you let him out to wander around, did he escape a fence, did he run out the door?) and grabbed someone's horse (whos was it?). Di the dog actually grab the horse, or just chase it? Was the horse injured (if so, were they bites? Or other injuries caused by falling, etc?)? Usually when a dog attacks someone elses livestock, it dies. It's that simple. People aren't about to lose their livelyhood (and animals they may have grown attached to) because they want to be "nice" to someone elses dog. It was/is YOUR responsibility to keep your dog (doesn't matter what breed it was) away from other peoples' animals. Many dogs will run livestock unless trained not to, so it's not a breed thing. I would guess that the only way to get your dog back is to sign off saying that he'll be placed somewhere out of the area, or kept penned in a roofed enclosure at your home. They may not even agree to that. You could try contacting your local breed club, or any dog club, really, and see if they can help, but I don't know that even they would get involved in something like this. Good luck.
