Hello!

So happy to see that us pit bull lovers have our own board. I own 2 pure breds and one 1\2 pit 1\2 lab. I hope to be a part of this board as much as I can with insight and questions!

Have a nice day!!

Hey Bodaga-- Welcome to the forum.. I am sure you will find it very helpful.. I love this place.. (It is my second home) So how old are your PIt's.. tell me about them.. I got a four month old female APBT, she is a rednose/king, her name is Saige.. she is the vevil in disguise.. or at least she has me cconvinved of that. Then there is Jekkyl he is also four months old colby pit X boston Terrier. Yeah I know.. messed up mix but he is real cool. They are quite the handful.. I live in Maine.. what an exciting place to live.. NOT! Anyhow.. hope you find many things in you time being here that are useful to you.. I have learned much and I am sure there is more that I will learn in the future.. Peace. Angie

Hey Angie... I have two blue nose pits, Gambino and Jager, and my half pit is Bodaga, hence my log-in name. Couldn't have asked for better dogs. They all get along, never been in tifs with each other plus Gambino and Jager eat dinner out of the same dish....they are from diff. parents too! Coach patatoe city at my house. But when I take them out all three pull me on my longboard (skateboard)....they keep going and going and going....they would outlast the energizer bunny any day. Their favorite friend besides each other is Teddy my cat. hahaha!

Thanks for your welcome, I will be checking back often!
Louise

Depending on how old they are, their getting along well may change, especially if the pit bulls are of the same sex. It's common for APBTs to become dog aggressive as they mature, though not all do. Usually this occurs between the ages of 1 and 3 yrs, but can be earlier or later... some dogs have even "turned on" as late as 10 or 12 yrs of age. I'm not saying they'll definitely have problems, but it's better to exercise caution than to throw it to the wind and end up wishing you hadn't later on.
