Hi,I'm the happy owner of a beautiful pit bull I got through rescue. She is the most wonderful dog I've ever had, and a perfect pet. I knew nothing about these dogs until 1 1/2 years ago, and never dreamed I would own one. Now I know I'll never have any other breed. Just wondering if other people here have rescued dogs, since there are so many of them in desperate need. IP: Logged |

Hi, and welcome to da neighborhood..LOL!! Never had a Pittbull, but have had and do have, Dobermans. Those guys too get a bad rap. Big babies a lot. I think the breeding has a lot to do with just what a dog might be like in temperament and character. And of course, social contact. It's too bad though, how some people treat animals. Just for a meal, and a warm bed, they'd give their life for you.... IP: Logged |

I love Dobes! I always wanted one, and last year when I was finally in the position to get my dream dog - none were to be had! The only truly reputable breeder around here has a waiting list a mile long, and the closest rescue had no dogs under 6 years old. I'm very happy with my pit bull, but oh those Dobes! IP: Logged |
