The according to numerous sources, the dog DUG through the mesh side of the playpen. I can see how you would have a hard time believing that one could climb into a playpen, but this dog ripped a hole in the side and dragged the baby out. Considering that it was a standard dachshund (usually 16-30 lbs, and dachshunds are usually considerably stronger than they look), this was absolutely possible.

This thread is OLD, and I think maybe it would be best just to let it "die" again, as most of the original posters are long gone.
