My friend had a hamster that got out of is cage and they never found him. And she got another, and she hit the 1st one and is doing the same to her newer one! I belive its down right cruel, but she doesn't understand that when they run away from her they are scared. HORRABLE:When she had her 1st one she took him out of his cage and she smaked him and grabs them by her neck, and she says "I feels like hitting you" (and shes talking to the hamster)

What should I do?

Try all you can do to stop it. umm try hitting em and saying thats how it feel. and tell her she has no right hitting her hamster. that its crule and she has no right owning a hamster if she is going to hit it. i have a hamster myself i dont know how you could do this crule stuff. how old is she? if she is over ten then she has no right owning a hamster.talk to her parents.keep us updated

Can't you tell her parents? They should not allow her to have pets if this is how she treats them....maybe her parents would ban her from having them if they were aware of what she was doing?

That's horrible and definitly cruel.

You should definitely do as Nern suggested and tel her parents. If that doesn't work tell your parents how upset you are about it and have them call her parents.

Well she calls every once in a while, like every other day, and sometimes i ask how is her hampster, and she says fine, but her parents might know and i think they think "well when it dies we won't get her another one" but i don't want her to die, and shes sort of rich and she can buy 2 more hampsters if she wanted to...
and if i tell her parents then she won't talk to me again, should i risk it?

Maybe your parents can speak with her parents without her knowing? Im sure if they explain to her parents that you don't want to lose your friendship with her they can confront her without getting you envolved.

well besides having a hampster, she had a turtle and the kind she got was surposed to live for a while and about 4 months (i think) the turtle died.
I dunno, i know it isn't fair for the hampster but my parantes sren't the kind of parents who can keep this quite they always have some way to blabber it around.
