guinea pigs normally eat hay. Pellets are like their main food course. The hay is like their bread or rice. they just love munching on it.

Hey,
I have a guinea pig too! he is a black american teddy, his name is Snowball and he has won Best in Show and Best in Class 5 times. He is absolutely adorable.. ANYHOW he wont eat just the pellets, he prefers to eat the mixed mix, with the colorful pieces of stuff in it, I take out the sunflower seeds cause alot of ppl told me that they choke easily on those so i shell them for him with some nail clippers!
He likes hay but I focus on veggies for him and fresh grass in the spring and summer. He gets toast sometimes too cause he likes it. His favorite toys are an empty toilet paper tube and a ball. He HATES the ball u get in.. he just sits there and hopes u will let him out..
ooo look at me rattling on and on!!
Most likely they just like to crowd around one first then the other, they might have an understanding.
