![]() ![]() ![]() my mom has a qual parrot and she took it to the vet yesterday and the vet had to put it in a halo because the parrot is self mutilating itself...i cant find anything on the net about parrots doing that...does anyone know anything about this topic??? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Birds will sometimes pluck themselves if they are over-stressed or not getting enough attention. It could also be mites or a vitamin deficiency. Did the vet give you any input? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ya the vet did a blood test and said it was a disease cause self mutilation...could be a cause of a couple reasons...the bird is lonely...or he was a bused by his previous owners so my mom is gonna get another bird to see if that helps him out...thanks for your reply!!!
