My bird started with the plucking as I already told you but he mutalated himself and he died from bleeding. Now my fiance wants to get another bird. How long should we wait?

I lost my Simba 3 weeks ago to the same thing. my husband and I went looking at other birds a few days later. I fell madly for the one tiel, he whistled, and hoped out of the box and onto my shoulder. I said prior to my husband that I want the bird to choose me. I dont want to choose them.. and that day he chose me. we took him home and he took to my Nala with no probs. we let him out of the cage when the dog is out side, he sits on my shoulder, eats my food. hes quit the piggy, he takes baths with me. although I miss Simba terribly. and in a way felt bad about getting another bird to replace him. I still call BamBam simba sometimes, but Its ok. it just means that I still have him in my heart and think of him all the time. I would go and look for another friend. you never know what you will find. it will help you heal the broken heart that you have encountered you have enough love to give to another bird. there is a special bird out there for you. good luck
