HI. It depends on the hen she will lay only when she is ready some hens lay there eggs about 2-3 weeks after mating some earlier some later.

When she does lay the incubation period is 19 days mark each egg with a number so then you can keep an eye on the eggs as to which are fertile and which are not.

Candling the eggs to do this about 4days after the egg was laid gently hold the egg and place a torch or light under the egg if it is fertile you should see what looks like a red spiders web inside of the shell.

Make sure the hen has cuttlefish bone for added calcium and a vitamin block also fresh fruit and veg should be given this helps keep her in top condition.

Have you provided the birds with a nest box?
You will know when she is ready to lay as she will spend most of her time in the nestbox, her poop will become bigger and a little runny.
If you would like more help please feel free to email me.

Mike.
