My boyfriend has a conure who flies at me, dives and bites me (bringing blood) whenever he has the opportunity. I love animals; I have tried to talk with the bird, feed the bird, ignore the bird but nothing works. My boyfriend thinks it is my fault, doesn't seem that concerned that I am being bitten and says that I'm not trying hard enough. I've tried and tried and I am tired of being bitten and ambushed. I would not allow my pets to bite him or anyone else. I feel it is the owner who has the problem....not me. This is a deal breaker. Help!

Hi, Did your b/f have the bird before you got together??

If so it could be that the bird is jealous and looks at you as a threat so is trying to warn you off..

Your b/f should not blame you for what the bird is doing you have tried talking to the bird and it still wont respond...
When the bird is out and she flies at you make sure u have a water gun or water spray bottle the kind you would spray plants with every time she bites or flies at you spray her and say bad bird and put her back in the cage keep doing this and all should be resolved..

Birds usually bond with one person if there is no other birds around and if it has bonded with your b/f she will definatley see you as a threat
