William Diemer, 20, of Old Town, ME, accused of sexually assaulting horses at the University of Maine 's Witter Farm pleaded guilty to cruelty to animals and was sentenced to nine months in jail,one year of probation and a $500 fine. Along with court-ordered counseling, Diemer, a former UM student, is banned from university property and prohibited from owning or possessing domestic animals for the rest of his life. Diemer, was summoned by the University of Maine Department of Public Safety after he allegedly was caught sexually assaulting a mare at the farm on Sept. 20. Diemer, formerly of Brunswick, initially fled from the scene and later was identified through evidence from video surveillance cameras. Two similar incidents that have occurred over the past 15 months at the same UM facility are still under investigation. No one has been charged at this time. Hi: I do not own a horse, however my daughter took horse riding lessons for many years. I was just reading the board and was wondering if anyone knows what the hormone replacement drug premarin is truly made of? IP: Logged |

I believe it is made from the urine of pregnant mares. There is a post right now on ther board on this issue. I think it is horrible..and un-needed. IP: Logged |

Oh tell me about it, and the sad thing is, that horses and cattle arent' the only thing this happens to. THere was a report on a maltipoo who was sodomized by a guy. IT had to be put down due to the rectal injuries it indured... Truely sick. IP: Logged |
