yes, wolf teeth are the teeth behind the bit. If the bit is hitting the teeth, the horse will be a bit cranky because of the constant pressure and pain. Get your vet to come out and look to see if the bit is hitting the wolf teeth. If they are, he will remove them and float the horse's teeth.

at 4 the wolf teeth are romovabe by a vet. it is advisable especially if she has a small mouth. also look into different styles of bits she may not accept it if it's to harshor ill fitting she sholdn't feel it when she's at rest does it hit her teeth, force a hard smile, or almost fall out of her mouth, does she enjoy the work you ask of her or resist the sort of riding style you like, if you like dressage and she preffers being a cutting horse you'll never work well together.
if you smeer a little mollasess on the bit and let it dry till you ride the next day she'll take it like candy.
also check the bit for where a litte metal bur on her tounge or lips won't fell good at all

Thank you to tina for the information. We have been having alot of problems with our American Saddlebred pinto. But now that you were talking about wolf teeth we will have to see if that might take care of the problem. Everytime we put a bit in her mouth she rares. She is good with out one but it is a big mess when she has a bit. Thank you again.
