Any recommendations on how to get rid of this algae multiplying inside my planted tanks. For the past few weeks, I have had observed that my plants already been infected by algae. Thanks IP: Logged |

sucker type fish are excellent at keeping plants clean of algae.. not as good at keeping glass clear. you could get a small pleco with the intent of trading it in when it's gets too big, or try a few otocinclus (number you get depending on the size of your tank). I've also seen a variety of fish that is like a large oto that are neat. I my tank, I also have an algae eating goby. don't get a chinese algae eater. good luck! IP: Logged |

Try leaving leaving your lights on for shorter periods of time and feeding a little less. Algae needs light & nutrients to grow. If you reduce those two things, you should have less algae. -Chelle IP: Logged |
