I have just aquired a 2nd hand marine aquaria (120x45x45cm), filtered by an external filter, live rock and live sand. There r plenty of powerhed 4 water movement and the filter etc were mature when i got the tank so i do not think i hav 2 go thru maturation. It is lighted by 2 t5's. It is all set up and nitrate, nitrite and ammonia readings r all as they should b. I no i shud not add fish jus yet, but i was thinking of fish in the range of this: 2 clarkis clowns wat do u guys think???!!! RTBShark... ------------------ IP: Logged |

I DON'T KNOW HOW BIG YOUR TANK IS BUT YOU HAVE A PRETTY LEATHAL COMBO OF FISHIES. FIRST EITHER YOUR HAWK FISH OR YOUR GOBY WILL KILL THE BLENNY AND THEN THE HAWK FISH WILL KILL THE GOBY AND THE DAMSILS WILL PICK ON EVERYONE AND WHEN YOU PICK ON A CLARKIS CLOWN YOU WILL HAVE MORE DEATH. SO ALL YOU WOULD HAVE LEFT IS THE WRASSE. I THINK YOU ( oops sorry about the caps i didn't notice) anyhow you should get to start: 3-2 green/blue chromis fish 1 maroon yellow-striped clown fish ( only one type of clown fish alowed. ) 1 bi-color blenny ---OR--- 1 lawnmower blenny and if you have to get a goby, try a a high fin ( or sissor tail) goby. 1 banded coral shrimp or skunk cleaner shrimp. you should add the chromis first for about a week or two, they are good, hearty fishes!
