I bought a bananna plant and put it in my tank. But it didnt grow and since the thing died, it seems that the water in my tank has now gone green. Please if this has happened to anyone.... HELP!!!!! P.s. will the water go back to the lovely clear water that i once had? IP: Logged |

Do a large water change to start with say 40% then do 20% a day until it clears up. Don't clean the filter during any of this or you will lose your bacteria colony. I assume you removed the plant as soon as you noticed that it died right. ------------------ IP: Logged |

don't add chemicals, they are over rated. just add some salt ( 1 table spoon per 10 gallons) and do the water changes like said above. try watching to make sure you aren't over feeding them. that'll only result in more waste either poop or old food. IP: Logged |
