Hi All,

I bought another 20 gallon tank about 2 weeks ago and I would really like to get some cichlids.

Are there any cichlids that would be small enough to fit in a 20G tank, and if there are how many should I get?

Sure, there are hundreds of types that will go in a twenty. Dwarfs, africans, Angels, the list goes on. As far as how many that depends on what you choose. Just research the type that you buy and don't buy anything that gets large. There are plenty of cichlids that only reach 3-4 inches in length you could put 4-5 of this size in a twenty.

I like the look of the Dwarf Cockatoo Cichlid and the sites I went to said they grow to be less than 4 inches.

I was thinking about going with 3 but I haven't found any sites that talk about what combination to go with.

Should I get 1 male and 2 female or just stick to 1 male and 1 female?

Thanks for your help!
