Hello FELLOW USERS!!!I am a new user from Anchorage Alaska.I am new to this site and consider myself a novice aqauriast.I just purchased a new 55gallon(upgraded from a 15 gallon)and it's excellent! My current residents are a man-eating catfish(Wallago Attu, look it up it'sFASCINATING!)and ajewelcichlid (hemichromis cichlasoma)and a sailfin plecos.I am aware of the tank space but I have BIG intentions for my catfish.I also am aware of the min.gallons for that beast as I am going150+gallons soon!

I sure hope you meant 15,000+ gallons. That catfish is going to be close to 8ft long (I only found one site that said 6ft long but even that would need a 8,000 gallon tank).

It's actually a funny story how i happened upon it! I was at my lfs(now defunct)and they were having a going out of bussiness sale.Everything was .99 cents EVERYTHING some lucky schlub managed to get a 9 inch silver arrowana for 99 cents.Anyways, I looked in one tank and seen a STRANGE looking fish so I unwittingly bought assorted fish,3 tiger barbs a firemouth and a random cichlid.Well I look into another tank and it's labeled Butterfly Rasbora,so I got 2 .I woke up the next morning to see 2 full "Butterfly Rasboras"and no other fish.anyways my catfish ate everything, than the next day the other catfish was murdered by his partner in crime .You live you learn. My lfs already agreed to throw him in a 5000 gallon for display when I am ready!!So much for Knowledgable staff and correct labeling!
