Okay, I have this problem, and I don't know what to do about it at all. I just recently bought a female betta for my boyfriends male betta. He put the two together, and she started hanging onto his tail, and working her way up, eating it!! And the male betta can't get her off. His tail right now is, shreddered, missing everything, and he was a very, very beautiful fish! What should I do about the female and what should I do about the male? - Amber and Clinton [This message has been edited by Amber+Clinton (edited 03-10-2004).] IP: Logged |

Male & female bettas don't always get along. If one wants to breed and the other doesn't, one may kill the other. I would separate them immediately and treat the male with Melafix. -Chelle IP: Logged |
