My cons Finaly had babys!! but i dont know whos the dad... i have 1 male and 2 females suposably... i got the 2 black cons as a "Pair" from petsetra... but the 1 female from the pair and a pink con have made babys.... but they both look like females? orng bellies and rounded fins.... my question is did the male fertalize the eggs then get kicked out of the nest? and the 2 females take over?? thanks for the replys also the pink con is about 2 inches not including the tail.. i thought they had to be bigger! im an expert on convict breeding mine have breed at least 15 times now females will usally be smaller and have orange coloration pon there bellies your convicts will probley breed every 2 weeks so be ready to get some new tanks i usally move the mom and the babies and after a few days remove the mom the babies will feed of of algea now if you have non in your tank get some liquid babies food soon they wiil be big enough for crushed flakes and newly hatched brine shrimp godd luck with your new fish IP: Logged |

nope not live berrors. the 2 cons that are looking after the fry eat pellets chew them up and spit the particals on the fry and they swarm it and eat. i think i will let nature takes its course and see what happens i hope i get about 5-6 left over. im wondering how fast the babys will grow!
