I have a molly pair as well and I don't think I would like 55-gallons of mollies If I were to let the molly give live birth and not seperate the eggs - survival of the fittest - would that be wrong? I like having a pair but I don't particularly want anymore. I like the balance in my tank as it is. Any thoughts on this? IP: Logged |

Mollies will generally eat their own fry. You may have one or two survive, but for the most part they will probably get eaten. However, the only sure way to make sure you don't end up with millions of mollies is to only keep one sex. -Chelle IP: Logged |

You could try to save the babies and take them to your LFS to sell as feeders. I don't know if mollies are generally used as feeders, but I know the stores here use anything from guppies to danios to white clouds, to goldfish. IP: Logged |
