Thanks for replying everyone....
the orange cap died last night so we buried him. It was so sad. We isolated him and bought medicine but we felt pretty hopeless.
We have a week old tank with two fresh plants...looks great and the water looks really clean. We set it up with the help of a really good aquarium shop.
We are only feeding them every 2nd day.
We''ll get the water tested today to make sure it's ok. I suppose you are going to lose one every now and then are you?
Yes, it looked liked it had some internal bleeding because we could see a red tinge on it's white body...

THE FACT THAT THE TANK WAS ONLY A WEEK OLD COULD BE A PROBLEM.
