seriously im now confused!!!! i bought 4 orange something swords last sat and now they are DEAD but in the few days i had them the 3 females gave birth and now i have 12-14 fry in there doing GREAT!!!! what is going on first the females died then last but not least the male died

im confused i guess i gotta go talk to my fish guy sat and take em back or something
i mean in all my life i have never had fish that died so fast that wernt in a tank with a hungry turtle

What are your water parameters (ammonia, nitrIte, nitrAte)?

ive only tested the ph level (7.5ish) only cuz someone either tossed out or jacked my fish tank box that was in storage but.. i wouldnt imagine that being a problem since the frys swimming around
my thought is... brackish water... im thinking the ones i bought were raised in freshwater and couldnt deal with the stress of the brackish but then again there isnt enough salt to bother the snails much

it was a bacteria thingy i forgot the name but the symtoms were redish marks on the fish
so... i got 12ish fry doing GREAT
