know im getting a 55 gallon tank just want to know what are good fish for it

Well your possibilities are pretty much endless. Do you want a lot of small fish or a few big fish.

Basically it probably easier to tell you what you cannot put in the tank.....any Pacu...more than 1 Oscar....Irridescent Shark, arrowana, etc.

You might want to buy a test kit and test the PH of your water....that will give you a good idea of what groups of fish would do best in your water conditions.

i kindda want to get a couple big and some small fish i like catfish and guppies and harliequins is that ok?o and how many fish around 3 inches.

Do you want to put live plants in to your aquarium? You might want to take that in to consideration when you buy fish. I saw an elephant nose today. It was black and white and looked pretty cool. I dont know anything about it though- jut that it likes a little salt.

yeah probobly some floating plants cause i want to get a bala shark i herd they jump alot and floating plants might discourage it are they hard to keep?

Yes bala sharks are jumpers they are also schooling fish and if not kept with 6 or more they feel out of place. This would be too much load on a 55.
