I'm visiting my parents house and they have a tank with two extreemly small and overwhelmed neon tetras. They aren't competing for food with the fish that they have in the tank. I have a tank that I believe they would do very well in but that would involve 2 days transport in a car. I am leaving today (saturday) and I won't arrive till sunday evening. Is there a safe way to move them or should we just let them try to hold their own in the big tank? IP: Logged |

as long as they've got adequate airspace in the bag, and you are able to keep the temp pretty stable, no large fluctuations, they should be able to make the trip, remmeber that most pet stores that get their fish, they are in transport for 3 or so days IP: Logged |

You could try getting a small cooler and a battery powered air pump. With just 2 neons and 2 days, you should be able to get by with just a 5 gallon cooler w/o having any problems with ammonia building up. -Chelle IP: Logged |
