Anyone know how to get algae to grow in your tank?? I know this sounds weird but I have never had any, and I think my plecostomus might like some. IP: Logged |

Be glad you don't and be careful what u wish 4. You can always buy some algae waffers at the LFS, he should like those. ------------------ [This message has been edited by gr8fuljames (edited 02-23-2004).] IP: Logged |

A better solution would be to buy algae waffers for the pleco. EDIT: Oops, James beat me to it. -Chelle [This message has been edited by t_chelle16 (edited 02-23-2004).] IP: Logged |

I have tried the algae wafers, he doesn't seem to like those. He just leaves them at the bottom. Lately he has taken to sucking on my Oscar. What else could I give him??? IP: Logged |

Weight down some zucchini or cucumber and drop it too the bottom. It might take a while to find it - pull it out after 12 hours (same with the algae disks) How old is your tank? If it's established and you can't see any, your pleco is just eating it faster than it grows. How big are your fish and tank? IP: Logged |
