Hello, first if you don't plan on being a breeder I would seperate the pair. Second if you do take on this challenge then you need to make shure your well prepared. Just a few of the basic things you will need...
1) Bare btm. tank to hatch eggs in.
2) meth blue (lfs should carry this)
3) sponge filter or something to cover intake of a reg. filter (panty hose)
4) a seperate grow out tank (large)
5) something to do with them when they grow out.
1) bare btm - when they hatch they are whats called wigglers and can get stuck in the gravel and die
2) meth blue - prevents infections and increases survival rate
3) filter - a regular filter tends to suck up wigglers and even early free swimmers
4) There will be alot of them and they need room to grow out to selling size
5) there will be too many to keep them all. Contact LFS, maybe start your own web page.

If you decide to continue I would try the pair out, letting them parent raise until there free swimmers. This can take several spawning attempts. If they don't turn out to be very good parents you can always remove the eggs from the parent tank and hatch them yourself.

I hope this helped out some. BTW did you have a slate in the tank or did she lay the eggs on the air line, tank wall or a plant?

Congrats-Good Luck and let us know.

So how's it going? Do you have any of the things mentioned above? If they laid the eggs yesterday they should be hatching into wigglers 12 to 24 hours from now. You didn't mention what color the eggs are. If the eggs are light brown or off color then they should be fertilized and produce fry. If the eggs are pure white then dad did not do his job right and they should be removed and discarded to reduce waste in the tank. Most angel pairs will spawn every 7 to 14 days. let us know.

Scotty, what happened? You have me hanging in suspense! You posted Sat. that you had eggs, as long as your temp. is not too cold you should have wigglers today.
