Tell us about your setup, size tank, filtration, heater? Sometimes fishes come from the LFS with problems that will kill them in a couple of days. That is why it is important to shop where they will give you a guarantee on fish. Usually a LFS will give you a new fish or your money back if the fish dies within 15 or 20 days after purchase. Let us know!

I think you have lost your guppies due to stress 2 male on one female not a good thing I recommend that there be more females than males to reduced the stress on the females
But I can't really determine what is wrong with out tank size and water parameters
Peace

Thank you for responding. I will try your suggestion Fish Addict

Well I only had one of the males a few days before he died. The female and the other male longer. So after she died I only had one male. The pet store did replace her. so now I have 1 of each. I plan on getting another female but they suggested waiting to see how these 2 do for a few or so. I have a five gallon brand new tank, with filter and a 25W light. I also want to buy a small cat fish or suckerfish. I had the water tested at teh pet store and it was ok. I only use bottled water no tap water.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP.
Kristina

How long was the tank set up before you had your water tested? Could you give us the actual number for ammonia, nitrIte, and nitrAte? Do you use dechlorinator?

I had the tank set up for for 3 weeks when I had the water tested. I did not write down any of the info they gave me when they tested the water. The pet store just said that the water was fine.

If you have any sugestions I will gladly listen.

THANK YOU FOR RESPONDING!!

Did you actually cycle the tank before adding the fish? If you don't actually own test kits, my guess is you didn't which could be the problem. It would be a good idea to buy the test kits so you can test the water yourself.

I think my mail is the one causing the problems. I saw him today repeedly bit or waht looked like bitting one of my females ( I know have 3). The one he was being mean to I think she is going to die (When I noticed it she was swimming sideways and I put her by here self and she will not swin around. Why is he doing this? SHOULD I GET RID OF HIM AND TRY ANOTHER MALE?????

5 gallons is pretty small for 4 guppies. Get a 10 or 20 gallon (not much more than a 5) and keep a male and 2-3 females. Also remember those guppies are going to breed like crazy.
