this isnt my primary tank its my old setup i had for my turtle and i wanted to raise/breed those snails you usually get when you put new plants in your tank so i caught like 30+ of them from the local stream and tossed them in my old tank 2 weeks later (now) there are hundreds of babies eating everything and floating around and i think a baby (really really small) crawfish and a 2inch crawfish ( i always wanted one and finally caught one that has stayed alive for longer then a night ) but... i sat down and i started looking in the tank and i seen all kinds of life lil worms white dots on the glass a bunch of other lil wacked stuff i havent seen before ( prolly from the wild ) ive also been looking around for stuff that can kill off all this stuff but i havent found anything i ever heard of and im sure someone else has delt with this before and i need your help...

but im taking out the eggs the snails lay now putting them in a 1 gal tank let start clean

Most people see the little snails as a problem, because they reproduce so quickly.
There is even a product on the market to get rid of them called "Had A Snail" that is mostly comprised of copper, and not a good thing either. Collecting life in streams is fun, but you never know exactly what you are getting until a few days go by. Collecting from streams is a sure way to invite disease,
pollutants, and uninvited guests into your home aquarium or bowl. Be careful in the future as you may be comprimising your turtles health. If their are no fishes involved, you may consider cleaning out the whole bowl and starting over.
Good luck!

I agree with what Hooben said. If you are breeding the snails to feed to fish (like loaches or puffers), there's a good possibility that you could introduce some disease to your fish with wild caught snails. I think your best bet would be to start all over again, but get snails from the LFS. I'm sure their tanks will be overrun with snails and they wouldn't mind giving you a few. Or you could just buy a couple live plants and they most likely will have snails on them (that's how I ended up with hundreds of snails in my 10 gallon ). And by getting them from the LFS, you will be less likely to get all the other little nasties.
