hi, I am trying to find a picture and name for my pleco. Im not sure what kind it is and I cant find a picture of it. It is approx. 2 inches in length and is a tan colour. It also has a horizontal strips down the body. Anyone know what kind it is and how big it will get? Thanks ! IP: Logged |

Without a picture I cant be sure but sounds to me like a L202 or a butterfly pleco. The best place to go is www.planetcatfish.com they have pictures of pretty much every pleco out there. Some plecos grow large others not so large just depends on the species. Have fun IP: Logged |

I agree, planet catfish is a great site for info on plecos, but it's not very user friendly. Basically, you already have to know what kind of pleco you are looking for. Does your fish look like this?

"all plecos get REALLY big ...i think" No they don't, there are quite a few that don't. A popular one is the bristlenose. ------------------ IP: Logged |
