if i boil some dead coral i found at the beach can i put it in my freashwater tank if so will it change the water hardness or softness and will it change the water perimiters

Yes, it will change the hardness. That wouldn't be too bad for africans, but coral generally has some pretty sharp edges so I'd be afraid of the fish scraping themselves up on it.
