For the most part, they require the same care as a regular oscar would. I would avoid lots of decorations and anything with sharp edges because they will tear their fins. I've also heard that they move a little slower than regular oscars (makes sense) so I really wouldn't put any other fish in with it because it may end up getting beaten up. And as with all oscarss for one, you need AT LEAST a 55 gallon tank for it (bigger is alwasy better). -Chelle IP: Logged |

Hi Rebel, I have 2 Veil tailed Black/Copper Oscar about 7", They require the same setup as of the other Oscars. I agree with t_chelle16 that they are a bit slow movers. But they are really aggresive ones than my albino oscar. who compete with them now in my 100g tank for food. IP: Logged |
