Fish and Aquarium oscars true? colours??

hey i just got a small common tiger oscar hes about 1" and black with yellowy stripes will he look like a red tiger but with yellow instead or the bright red?? thanks.. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Juvenile oscar colorations are generally a lot differnt than what they will be as adults so it's really hard to tell. My lutino oscar started out a solid pale pinkish-orange color and didn't start getting the darker orange scales until she was about 4 inches. here might be some information a that is there other fish in the tank with the oscar because they might be bothing to oscar and it might to it is stress out put some stress coat in the tank and the other thing is that the colors of the oscar will change because like t_chelle16 said that they change there color until they are about 4to5 inches - IP: Logged |

no i ment what will his adult colours be?? i looked on the net but i found cool black with a littel red and adult regular tigers with lots orng and the ablinos and the red sided 1's im wonding(hopeing) he will be the black with a little red. thanks ------------------ IP: Logged |

You'll just have to wait until it get's bigger to see how much orange it will have. Sounds like it's either a tiger (dark base w/orange stripes) or common (dark base with yellow stripes and maybe a few orange scales). -Chelle IP: Logged |
