They are awesome. I've seen different sizes of them and also a 7 striped one (can't remember what it's called). My tank is pretty full, and they get HUGE so no go for me. I saw one that was 80.00 a few months ago, it was gigantic, and it sold quickly. was there something specific you wanted to know about them? IP: Logged |

DEPENDS ON TANK SIZE, i HAVE A BLUISH ONE WITH A RED DEVIL AND A TIGER OSCAR IN A 180. HAPPY AS CAN BE. bY THE WAY, THE HAVE THE PRETTIEST HUMPS. IP: Logged |

i think fontosas are african cichleds and oscars are South american or new age meaning toataly diferent water requierments to i would say no and also you need to keep fonts in a shoal it i recal corectly... ------------------ IP: Logged |

Cichlids small jaws is correct. It isn't a good idea to mix African and South/Central American (new world, not "new age" ) cichlids. They have different water requirements (oscars prefer soft water & africans like hard water). Also, frontosa, like most africans, prefer lots of rocks and caves. But oscars need large open areas and if you have lots of rocks, the oscar will tear himself up on them.I wouldn't recommend mixing the two. -Chelle IP: Logged |
